Information

How it works

Explained by our Dr. Jose Antonio Canal

It is a superficial treatment that will give your skin softness, shine and freshness. The FRAXEL laser is a sub-ablative erbium laser (to be understood, it does not lift the skin), having the advantage of being able to reach deep areas of the skin (middle/deep dermis level) without affecting the epidermis.

Another advantage is that it is fractionated, which means that instead of being a single beam of light, it is divided into microscopic columns of light, leaving the skin unharmed around it, which allows a quick recovery without being on sick leave.

The resulting effect is a significant stimulation of collagen and elastin production by the fibroblasts found mainly at this level, resulting in a significant improvement in skin texture , reducing roughness, enlarged pores, small scars and giving greater luminosity.

Applications

  • Facial rejuvenation
  • Smoothing expression lines
  • Visible wrinkle reduction
  • Scars with fine lines
  • Age spots
  • Sun spots
  • Open pores.

Scar treatment

It is also important to highlight the usefulness of this laser in the treatment of scars, mainly atrophic scars (an example of which are stretch marks).

We must mention that these effects are produced by the action of the 1550nm wavelength that this equipment has, but we can also change it to another wavelength, 1927nm, with which the action is much more superficial and it is useful to treat superficial spots such as lentigines (sun spots), improvement of melasma and other spots. We achieve an important photo rejuvenation effect.

Tips

  • Application of sunscreen is recommended.
  • The tanned look that can be covered with make-up

Each has a different way of emitting light and a similar wavelength without being the same. This allows us to match each treatment to the best fractional laser option.
