Thermage FLX

Non-surgical facelift. The most effective monopolar radiofrequency for facial flaccidity.

What is

What is Thermage FLX?

Thermage FLX is the most powerful facial repositioning system for the prevention and correction of flaccidity in the world. It uses monopolar radiofrequency energy and acts on collagen, stimulating its synthesis. It is a non-invasive regenerative maintenance system that produces a tightening and rebuilding effect on collagen fibers. This results in firmer skin and defined, smoother contours, in addition to improving the quality of the dermis.

Information

How it works

As we age, the skin’s collagen deteriorates, resulting in wrinkles and skin laxity.

Thermage FLX’s patented radiofrequency (RF) technology safely heats the skin’s strata to stimulate the collagen it contains and promote new collagen growth for younger-looking skin.

Procedure

We apply energy on the most superficial layer of the skin (EPIDERMIS). This will then pass to the deeper layers (DERMIS AND FATTY LAYER).

The skin offers resistance to the passage of current, which is what we know as the bioimpedance of the tissue. This resistance generates heat that will not exceed 60 degrees. By increasing the temperature, proteins that are already in the dermis are activated: the shock proteins, which will stimulate the fibroblast starting to produce new collagen.

Results

The resulting effects after radiofrequency treatment are twofold, a first instantaneous effect, and a subsequent one, visible over time:

  • Tightening effect generated by heat after treatment.
  • Long-lasting effect: new collagen fibers are produced after 3 months. Our skin regresses up to 5 years in time, delaying tissue degeneration (spots, wrinkles, texture, flaccidity, etc.).

Recommended age

It is advisable to perform the first session between 35-40 years of age, always depending on the patient’s skin condition.

Results in older people are also significant in skin firming and wrinkle smoothing.

Differences with Thermage CPT

Thermage FLX is the evolution of the Thermage CPT that we had at the Clinic until now. We have been using the different generations of Thermage devices since 2004:

  • Vibration system with graduation and cooling of the treatment area.
  • Application area is larger, covering a larger surface area per stroke (faster).

The most important difference: In the Thermage CPT (old) the doctor measured the impedance at a single point on the forehead (average of the impedance of the whole face). In the Thermgae FLX, the device measures in each 4cm2 grid the impedance of the skin. Therefore, we speak of maximum customization. The treatment is tailored to each square of your skin in real time.

It is advisable to perform the first session between 35-40 years of age, always depending on the patient’s skin condition.

Results in older people are also significant in skin firming and wrinkle smoothing.
