Information
What are Bichat's balls
Bichat balls are fat pads located at the cheek level, where they lubricate the cheeks for smoother chewing movements and also provide support and volume to the facial structure.
However, in some individuals these pockets are overdeveloped, producing a round facial appearance and preventing proper definition of the underlying bony structure.
Procedure
Bichectomy is an outpatient surgery (no need for hospitalization) and of short duration, usually around 45 minutes.
It is performed under local anesthesia through two small intraoral incisions of less than 1 cm, leaving no visible scars.
Not all patients are good candidates for Bichectomy, since in some cases the lack of definition of the cheekbones and the presence of prominent cheeks does not respond to an excessive volume of these bags.

Results
The definitive results appear 2 to 3 months after the procedure.
