Close piercing hole

In any location. Without marks or scars.

What is

Can a piercing hole be closed?

Indeed, we can get rid of old piercing holes that we no longer want to have. They can be removed in any location. The most demanded area is the face, especially the lips, upper or lower. Also in the nose, eyebrow and navel.

Information

What techniques are available to you?

As these are deep scars, it is necessary to remove them surgically.

In this way, the entire duct through which the piercing passed is removed and the ends are closed with healthy skin. When the wound heals, if a small mark remains, it can be improved with laser until it is completely concealed.

However, I do not recommend starting the laser without first performing surgery: the improvement will never be complete despite numerous sessions.

Procedure

First, local anesthesia is injected. The old hole is then removed with a scalpel or biopsy punch. The resulting hole is closed with a stitch. A dressing is placed to cover the scar.

After 48 hours, the wound can be uncovered, cleaned with soap and water and disinfected with antiseptic. The stitch is removed in consultation after approximately 10 days. An appointment is scheduled one month after the intervention to review the wound and perform the first laser session with the intention of improving the color or texture of the wound.

Results

The degree of patient satisfaction is very high. Indeed, it is common to find friends or relatives of former patients in the office… However, I always explain to them at the first visit that each patient heals differently.

Are there any remaining scars?

In some cases, the evolution has been so good that no laser session has been necessary.

The average is about two or three sessions. But we have also had cases that have needed more.

My priority is that the patient is satisfied, so the necessary ones will be done.
